In which I discuss the harshness of reality

Where I dream of being:

gorgeous, tropical white sand beach (courtesy planetware.com)

Where I actually am:

my patio - snow-covered, 30-mph-gusty-windblown, 16 degrees

Reality bites. (Sob.)

I hear ya sister. Tomorrow we'll have a wind chill of zero. Oh the joy. Hang in there. Spring is coming. It is, right?

I suppose this isn't the best time to tell you that a week from today, Dave and I will be in Jamaica? No? I thought not.

We're having near tropical weather today, high of 20. It's downright balmy compared to the last few weeks. I'm hoping we have seen the last of the below zero days for a year at least. this has been brutal.

Kathy: Oh, I hope spring is coming! It's the only thing that keeps me going on those zero-wind-chill days.

JD: I'm so jealous! But, I'm happy for you, too. No reason why we should all be miserable. :)

Jen: I know! It was 27 degrees today, and I was actually able to remove one of my scarves.

Juliana: Thanks for commenting! I would LOVE to be on a plane, but I fear it's not meant to be. I am going to check out your blog, though!
