Everyone and their brother has probably seen this clip by now, but I just had to share anyway:

(I would have embedded it, but YouTube has disabled embedding.)
I have wanted to be a professional singer my whole life. If you've never sung before, you probably don't realize how scary it is to walk out on that stage and wait for the music to start. Sometimes, I'm afraid that I won't be able to sing at all, but I may throw up instead. For that woman to not only take the stage, but perform so beautifully AND totally blow away the judges, was simply amazing. Susan Boyle, congratulations to you. I am so happy that the record companies are calling and you will have a chance to do what you love, because you deserve it.

I knew without even checking the link what this would be!
I love it too. How can you not? The looks on the judges' faces, the audience screaming . . . it's very inspirational.
I hope she gets way more than 15 minutes out of this.
I know...EVERYONE wrote about this last week, but it moved me so much I had to post it.
I hope she gets more than 15 minutes, too, and I hope she can protect herself from the less-than-scrupulous types who may be out to take advantage of her. Hopefully she has an attorney or something.
Have you also listened to her recording of "Cry Me A River" from a charity CD she participated in a few years ago? I think she's more than just a flash in the pan.
